AIA CA REPRESENTATIVE/PAST PRESIDENT
An architect practicing in California and Texas and an educator based in San Luis Obispo, he brings a dual focus on professional practice and academic mentorship. His work spans residential, historic, and small commercial projects, while his teaching centers on fifth-year architecture students preparing to transition into professional practice.
He currently serves as Chair of the NCARB Licensure Research + Development Task Force and is an active advocate for the Pathways to Practice initiative, including candidacy for an At-Large position on the NCARB Board of Directors. Recognized as an NCARB Scholar in Professional Practice, he also serves as a Licensing Advisor at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, supporting emerging professionals on their path to licensure.
His leadership within the profession includes two terms as President of the AIA California Central Coast chapter and ongoing service on the AIA California Board of Directors.
Beyond architecture, he is a founding member of Building a Better SLO and serves on the Executive Committee for the Live Oak Music Festival, a long-standing benefit for KCBX Public Radio.
