Yoshi Jimenez

PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR

Committed to creating spaces that strengthen communities and improve lives, her work is rooted in affordable housing design, community engagement, and advocacy. She is driven by projects that address pressing societal needs while expanding opportunities for individuals and families through thoughtful, community-centered design.

Born in Mexico City to parents of Indigenous Mixtec heritage from Oaxaca, she grew up in a farmworking family and witnessed firsthand the transformative impact stable housing can have on people’s lives. That lived experience continues to shape her values-driven approach to architecture and her commitment to equity, accessibility, and meaningful community impact.

She began her education at Allan Hancock College before earning her Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University. In addition to professional practice, she serves as a part-time instructor at Allan Hancock College, supporting the next generation of designers and expanding access to architectural education.

An active leader within AIA California Central Coast, she has served as both Associates Director and Public Relations Director, focusing on member engagement, emerging professional support, and chapter visibility. She is also a 2025 AIA California Emerging Professionals Leadership Academy Laureate and has helped strengthen connections between AIACCC and neighboring chapters through her involvement with the AIA California AEP Network.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and remains deeply committed to fostering connection, mentorship, and the positive impact architecture can have on communities.
